Just upgraded my Windows Live Messenger 8 to the 8.5 beta. So far I haven't seen any new features but mostly design improvements.

I found the installer at FileHippo.com (it's also available from Microsoft's Live.com site) and I could log in without any problems, but that may be because I'm enrolled at the Windows Live Messenger 8 beta testing (?)

   This is the first time I won't bother to update my MSN, probably because it's not nagging me yet, but mainly because this version is identical to 8.1 apart from curved picture borders instead of square..and some other gradient effects which I've disabled from 8.1 anyway lol..

   There might be some more changes in the new version except the graphics. I'm not sure what though…

   I like this new Messenger Beta. It allows my webcam to work with Vista. Messenger 8.1 didn't :)

   I cant download this. I get an error message saying that there was a fatal error during installation. Can anyone help? :(

   Where did you download it? Filehippo? Or somewhere else?

   Maybe you should try downloading it again, maybe from another source…
