Microsoft is working on Internet Explorer 8

Jan 12th, 2007 @ 20:51

The success of Firefox certainly got Microsoft's Internet Explorer team moving!

ActiveWin.com is reporting that the work on Internet Explorer 8 has begun.

Internet Explorer 8 will, according to the plans, be ready in 18-24 months, and the team is working on the new release instead of a service pack.

If Internet Explorer is going to be as vulnerable and as constantly attacked as Internet Explorer 6 they'll hopefully release some security fixes.

One might fear that Internet Explorer 8 will be a "Vista only" feature, to get people to move to Microsoft's new flag ship.
