Want 4 GB mail? Pay 20 bucks
Dec 29th, 2006 @ 20:41According to LiveSide Microsoft has plans to offer 4 gigabytes of storage for $19.99.
The Windows Live Mail Plus is currently only available in Holland.
While I'm not ready to pay 20 bucks a year for 4 gigabytes storage for my mail the list of features appears to be more attractive:
- 4GB inboxes from Spring 2007
- Attachments upto 20MB
- No advertisements (across several Windows Live services, including Mail, Mail desktop and Spaces)
- Microsoft Outlook access
- No disabling of your account due to inactivity
- Yearly cost remains at €19.99, expected £14.99 and $19.99 when launched in other regions
Still not sure whether it's worth $19.99 every year. I'll stick to Gmail for now. Plus I'm testing Windows Live Mail, which actually works okay, apart from some stability issues…
